ROTOPOL-4D is an automatic polishing machine with applications in laboratories of various mineral industries, metallography, automobile manufacturing, aerospace industry, laser and optics, composite industry, petrochemical, and research laboratories.
One of the obvious features of this machine is having two different intelligent motors, SERVO MOTOR for each of the disks and polishing axles that are separately controlled by drive units and a programable PLC.
All parameters of speed, rotation accuracy, working time, clockwiseness and rotation directions of the polishing disks and sample holders are configured and represented on the HMI touch-control panel in front of the machine.

The machine has two motorized automatic sample holder units capable of polishing samples from 20mm to 70mm diameters. The rotation direction of the automatic sample holder in clockwise/ counter-clockwise senses is controllable and programmable in contrast to disks’ rotation directions.
All components and parts of the main body, polishing sink, and pannel are stainless steel and integrated.
The applied pressure on any of the samples is precisely and separately controllable and configurable proportional to the samples’ substance. Different sample holders are provided according to the customer’s requirement for polishing the standard polished-section samples and samples with different shapes and microscopic thin sections.

The rotation speed of the polishing disks is controlled and programmed by PLC and HMI in the range of 10 - 1200RPM, the accuracy of 2RPM, and constant torque in all speeds.
